Ready to Wear 2011

A lil late for this update. But these are our lil loves for Spring 2011 RTW. From our previous post, its obvious that we're currently crazy for prints, so we picked our fav's from the runway just to share.

In our personal wardrobe currently, we've been collecting lotsa jumpsuits, print dresses, maxi dresses and playsuits!
Here are some of our favouritessss for 2011. Oh well, we cannot afford the ones below but we sure have the inspired ones :)

Betsey Johnson
Love the subtle fluffy-ness of this dress paired with casual stappy heels.

Work & party. So versatile!

Mini polka dots! Nice!! We would love it more if it's a playsuit. But.. this works too.

Emilio Pucci
Love their prints this season, subtle yet chic.

Vera Wang
Beautiful oriental prints.

My love for Prints

Craving for prints. Err, no not the kind where you hang on the walls. Many people are afraid of wearing prints, as some think prints will make you look bigger and shorter, some said its too much. But at Dep we loveeee it!!

Depending on the quality and cutting of the material, prints can look either casual or formal and definitely fun and ready to have a good time! Its amazing what prints can do for you. Pair it with a chunky necklace over your print dress or top and you will look amazing and elegant. Nope, it will not look like as if you work for the zoo.
Oh well, im not saying solid colors dont work anymore, but why not look different once in a while?

Here are some pictures.

Bling bling eyes!!

For designer shades and glasses lovers. Now, you can add on to your collection - designer eyes. Yes, now you can have designer bling eyes! Christian Dior had recently launched their designer contact lenses. Metallic gold flakes with CD monogram on the side.
Do you think this is going to take off? Different colors? Fashion statement of disaster? The REAL question is... will you buy?

Wanna have designer eyes? :P

Olivia Palermo designs bib necklaces for Roberta Freymann

Olivia loves wearing statement necklaces, she loves it so much that it is only natural she starts her own jewelry line. Olivia team up with Roberta Freymann, a style diva, global traveller, the creator/designer of Roberta Roller Rabbit and created a line of gorgeous, hand embroided statement necklaces. High quality material made of silk and glass beads.
Bib necklaces may not be something new but if you matched it nicely with your outfit, this would be a good chic option.
Dress it up with blazers, party it with tube dresses or just dress down with plain tee and jeans.

Here are the hand made pieces:

Little Cravings

As we already know, animal prints are back...and this time not only on clothes but accessories too (and they all look fab), gunmetal and studs are all over the runways and smaller bags on the streets. Oh, not to mention super high pumps.
We crave only for these 3 trends as we simply just love it! Here are our little cravings.

House Of Harlow 1960 - Dep's Favourite

Aside from Betsey Johnson's whimsical and feminine designs, Dep loves bohemian and vintage pieces too! Oh that's right, you wouldn't know if you have not been visiting our retail site.
Anyway, House of Harlow 1960 by Nicole Richie pieces are a combination of feminine, bold and edgy. Her pieces are worn and popular among the A-list celebrities and of course Nicole herself. She wears them for her photoshoots and everyday wear. She even created a leaflet teaching her fans how to wear HoH 1960's jewelry!
Nicole's advice: “I’ve always felt that great accessories are essential in every complete outfit and I wanted to create a collection that was easy to mix and match; to either wear alone as an everyday piece, or stack on to make more of a statement,”

Here are some creative amazing pieces that we love:

Not your kinda style? Too bad we love em' =)

All about colors

Biggest trends hit the runways this season!! Let's talk colors.

The colors this season are mostly chocolate, mocha and blacks. Dep would like to refresh and shock the senses with shades of red. Red goes amazingly well with animal print accessories such as jewelry, pumps and even clutches! If you are wearing animal print apparels, then pair it with shiny gold or silver accessories.

Cameron Diaz in Red mini dress
Kate Moss in Just Cavalli's lush animal prints campaign. Don't you think she looks amazing? Love her accessories too. Gold and Red are the perfect combination.

H&M Garden's Collection. Love the dress!!!!

Nicki Hilton in red with animal print shoes.
